Can sl500 Radio Antenna be use don other models?
I was wondering if I could fit the Antenna from the new SL on my car, for FM and AM radio only.
I am interested in retrofitting it to my 300CE.
IF it willw ork I'm dying to do it.

Just one question: Why?
The aerial you are talking about is not used for AM/FM reception - it's for the phone if fitted.
Most of the radio antennas are mounted on the front and rear windows, together with the GPS System Antenna.
Four FM Diversity Antennas are laminated to the windshield and one of the AM Antennas is laminated to the rear window (with a second AM antenna that functions when the vario-roof is closed mounted on the rear shelf. The Tele-Aid GPS antenna is located on the inside of the windsheld, behind the rear-view mirror. The SL's built-in antenna for the optional portable cellular phone is located on the driver's side rear fender.

I see, thanks for the response. VEry informative. now I know. 
My dad has a 2003 sl500 he just got last month. Its sweet.
Black, panoramic roof, Every option they had on it.
its got the charcoal interior.
