My radar detector won't work in my car. I thought the fuse may have gone out so I replaced it but still nothing. Any ideas?

There ar only 3 parts to it.

The sensor on the grill. the control box and the display

when i try to use the cigarette lighter or detector? the detector is plugged in but when i turn the ignition on, it won't turn on anymore. i haven't tried putting the actual cigarette thing in the lighter to heat up but know it's not the detector that's malfunctioning because it works in another car

The fuse is F11 in the in the drivers side module box it 30 amp

thanks but i replaced it and that wasn't the problem, still doesn't work

The elements can go open circuit, is this the problem.

There is a connector on the under side, to get to it the the whole top panel must be lifted,, its quite easy to do.

how would i know? by lifting the panel as you suggested?

my cigaret lighter is intermittent when I plug in charger. Have you put a voltmeter on it? I think it is purpose built for MB lighter and not universal.

You have to try the lighter first,,if that does not work then I can tell you how to take it all out
