SL500 - Next mod suggestions and exhaust question/feedbacks....
Hey Guys,
I'm fairly new to this forum, so bare with me and I look fwd to all your advices/suggestions/2 cents...
I have a 2004 SL500 WHITE with following mods:
21" AGETRO (JAPANESE BRAND) WHEELS W/PIRELLI'S
LOWERED ON LINKS
GRILLS/FENDER ETC VENTS PAINTED SHINY BLK
NEW 2007 TAILIGHTS WITH RED PORTION SMOKED & CENTER IS CLEAR
CORNER SIGNALS PAINTED MATCHING WHITE
TRUNK SPOILER
FULL CUSTOM STEREO SYSTEM
Now, I am trying to think what else I'd like to do...and I'm thinking exhaust system would be nice to get a more masculine roar sound From your experiences what do you suggest? I am hearing Eisenmann exhausts are pretty much best for this car model. However it is almost $3k to 4k. What do you think about Eisenmann, is it worth it, or do you know of better options?
Also, I have extended warranty for 4 yrs and 100k miles from 3rd party warranty company, and don't want it to be voided, do you know if changing the exhaust or modifying it etc will void the warranty at all, or?
AND, any other mods you think I should consider would be great to hear I am looking to do this asap!
I know some people have already discussed the above questions on here in the past and I have read some of them, but would be nice to hear updated feedbacks on recent experiences you all have had...

PICS of your car in the white PLEASE!!! Id love to see it especially lowered with rims.
BTW- I have a REMUS Exhaust maybe for sale if you are interested. It has less than 1000 miles and pretty great condition. The reason behind is that I bought before deciding on a 500 vs. 55 and might just go 55. I'm pretty sure this wont be as loud as the Eisenmann but still better sound and aftermarket looking quad tips.
Seems like you've been done pretty much everything in terms of exterior, maybe an ECU or other perf. product.
I'm jealous you have a white SL...I cant find one for the life of me = ( ...which is causing me to just go with the 55 ....If you have the wood interior maybe an MP perf. steering wheel, alot of SL owners love this.

150shot, can you please PM me with more info on exactly the REMUS exhaust model you have, any links online to it, and what the best price you will accept? And where you bought it, and if it has ANY issues at all and if you have seen it in use before you bought it? Thanks and I will get the pics up as soon as I can

Def. put some pics up, especially of the blk grille, I too have a white SL and its currently getting the grille painted black. I have a Magnaflow exhaust on mine and it sounds great to me

Personally, I think the Eisenmann systems sound the best. You can find a couple of postings on YouTube. Search for "Eisenmann SL500". There's a silver one on there that sounds pretty darned good.

Ya I saw that one on ebay, but that exhaust was a "Eisenmann Race Exhaust for a Mercedes Benz R230 SL65 AMG V12 Bi Turbo"
Would that fit a regular 2004 SL500??? Does the fitment of the exhaust/mufflers, etc fit the car perfect, and also the TIPS won't they be too wide since they are oval wide shape for the space of the existing exhaust tips on a regular SL500?
Who know's for sure if this would fit 100% and what modifications would be needed and how costly would they be, and is it worth it to do all that, or better to just buy the correct EISENMANN exhaust for SL500 instead of the above one meant for SL65 AMG??
