SL500 Carbon Fibre Interior

Can anyone direct me to where I could purchase a carbon fibre interior for a 2003 SL500. Door trims, console trims, dash etc.

I have visited all these web-sites and no mention of any interior kits. This surprise me as the 'standard' interior is rather 'tacky".

And I suppose you think a carbon fiber interior is not tacky? A waste of money, far better to choose one of the designo leather and trim upgrades. Putting carbon fiber in the SL would be like replacing the steering wheel with one carrying fake hex socket-headed bolts.

I am not a big fan of Carbon Fibre, I have seen some cars that look like 1070`s linoleum!

The nicest carbon interior on the market right now is the one from KLEEMANN. I have seen most of them "live".

Good luck !!

I agree. Carbon fiber has no business in the SL. While you're at it, might as well put cloth seats in the car to match the cheesy dash and steering wheel.

Well, then you've never been sitting in an AMG safety car before. The black carbon kits from the AMG Manufaktur are really awesome and worth their money.

Please, I'll take wood anyday over some cheap plastic. Why do so many people ignore the fact that the SL is still a luxury car? At least the aluminum trim sparkles in the sun. The carbon fiber just looks bland.

That's why I chose individual AMG Manufaktur wooden trim parts for my SL 55 (black maple). I still love black carbon trim parts, but I personally wouldn't put them in an SL. Just like I think the stone trim parts don't belong in an SL.

Leave the carbon fiber for the West Mercedes McLaren Team and stick to the luxury of polished wood for their passenger cars.

My 2 cents.
