More Oil bargains

OK Buy with Ebay caution. I just bought a lot of Mobil 1 5W-40 European … I paid from $18-23 for 5 Quarts. All of it seems to be coming in Walmart boxes. So far I have not gotten ripped off. But buy with caution .. I use paypal and they stand behind me pretty well.
Ok this person is accepting bids of $55 for a case of 3.. good luck .

Items like this bother me. The Walmart web site sells that item for $75. If they are coming in a Walmart box, that means they are drop shipping from Walmart. How are they making money doing that? Using stolen credit cards?

I am thinking they are closeouts.. there are a ton of them all over Ebay. I am not going to overthink it and just bought 19 -5 quart containers for 50,000 miles .. have 3 MB’s to maintain . Plus it is 1/3 of what I paid for Amsoil… us poor retired people have to save money in this high inflation world.
The pictures on ebay show the boxes in a garage so they are not drop shipping from Wally’s.

Not sure where all the negative talk is coming from??
My first delivery was ok. Still have 16 containers to go.
Sorry to waste everyone’s time next time will just keep the bargain info here!
I have also found the best MB dealer on the internet .. actually drove there to meet the staff . My son spent over $25,000 with MB Dealers with his business last year.. but then again will just keep that info since the only replies have been “stolen credit cards and the seller looks ????” 😂 😂 😂 What Look should one look for on ebay? I have over 1,000 transaction buy/sell and have not found THE 👀 LOOK i should be looking for ???

I did a few searches before I bought putting scam and counterfeit in the search… found nothing ? Bottles look just like others we have here . My son uses Mobil in his MB wagon..
1 method is to scan the bottle and the scan code will take you to the Mobil site.. that was one of the methods suggested by mobil

Great deal! Thanks for the info.

I would have never thought to buy oil off ebay. I just assumed it couldn't be shipped to my door, being oil and all.

I have been an Amsoil member for years and they ship directly from their closest warehouse to your business or home… with a minimum priced order it is always free. I have bought brake fluid MB, Antifreeze MB, oil, chainsaws , etc etc from ebay and amazon .

You'd have to be getting the oil for nearly free to make it worthwhile to ship as a small reseller. Walmart has a huge deal with FedEx; Ebay small fry don't get that. My guess would be they are stolen. The picture of the inventory sure looks like it "fell off the back of a truck". But it's just a guess; I obviously don't know. I bought some Azelastine allergy nasal spray from Walmart's web site, but from some random third party vendor with a limited supply, at about 20% off. What do I know; probably stolen, but they could also be some sort of "closeout". You just don't know. I'm not saying I know what's going on; I don't.

I could believe it being Chinese repackaged oil, but it does not seem like a high value enough item to make it worth it.

Heck, even $5 a quart delivered is a good deal.

They guarantee me it is from Walmart and real Mobil but won’t say why they got it so cheap? They are shipping USPS advantage …

Garages go out of business, need to sell inventory, etc. There are auction companies that sell off inventories by the lot. Many businesses on ebay and elsewhere buy and resell.

I’m guessing that this is all stolen. My local Walmart advertises this oil for very inexpensive, but it’s never on the shelf and their inventory is always wrong likely due to thieves like these.. please don’t support the criminals. The oil is cheap enough when you buy it from a legitimate source.. do you really think cungo was an oil aficionado and knew when to buy from Wally? Thieving *******s ruin everything and their customers are the scum that keep them stealing. Don’t be a thieving *******’s, ******* customer.

and since this website wants to censor me because we are all 12 years old, I’m calling people the thing that’s right between your butt cheeks

YOU can’t be so ignorant to not understand that Walmart employees steal, as well as Walmart has an extremely large theft problem over the past couple years and yes, you could walk in there and take all of the oil and walk out without a care in the world…but your ASSumption would have you believe the opposite of reality.

And if you really want to dig into calling me a name, I would never buy such a cheap oil for my car anyway and my oil is at least twice the price and I change it ever 3-4K miles. No skimping here. Motul and Driven with Mos2 and Ceratec as needed. I’ll pay whatever is asked for good oil that’s not stocked at Waldo’s world. To each their own in oil choices.

Thank you for aligning yourself with scumbags and thieves, youve now warned everyone on this forum not to deal with you. Only a scumbag would infer I would be negatively talking about them, all us honest people agree. Really you’ve saved so many people time now that they know you support stealing and will call people names when they point out the oblivious.

The Honest people I know and align myself with DO NOT ASSUME AND INSTANTLY NAME CALL!!!
The ebay picture’s definitely look like employees stealing I should have had the “Einstein intelligence” and figured that out myself !!! Since Mercedes highly recommends Mobile Oil again I should have the intelligence like you to see thru that BS and buy other highly rated oil that you sought out and fully lab tested I am sure!!

As I stated, some people are willing to pay ridiculous prices for no benefit other than peace of mind. Anyone suggesting that Mobil 1 is a "cheap" and inferior oil is simply showing their lack of knowledge..But these are the people who keep companies like Morimoto in business when multiple actual tests show their LEDs are inferior to many "lesser" brands at what they are supposed to do.

SINCE THERE WAS SO MUCH NEGATIVE NOISE.. I made a call to Mobil 1 headquarters in Texas. By the way the Ebay seller is 45 minutes away from the Texas Headquarters.. The oil is completely legit and is less than 1 month old. The man I talked to has heard ZERO complaints about stolen, counterfeit or bogus dealers on ebay with this Euro oil with the 50yr celebration label! I even shared the prices I paid and he was not shocked and when I read him the date codes.. he told me what plant it came out of . So I have done my homework and shared the info . If you want to call me SCUM etc for searching out deals on parts go for it but don’t forget there are lots of people on these forums very familiar with name calling EINSTEINS and there real lack of knowledge especially calling Mobil 1 inferior oil when it is actually what almost all oils test against .. kinda like an industry standard! I try very hard to have discussions like I am sitting across from the individual .. calling someone scum for an assumption with zero base… well I just wish we had the opportunity to sit across during that conversation. Have a great day.

I'm just funnin' ya.

But you do have to admit it is a little suspicious that they have boxes and boxes of Walmart-packaged motor oil just sitting in a garage. Guaranteed they didn't pay Walmart retail prices, but maybe they have some back-door route to buy from Walmart. Your new friends at Mobil have no idea whether the oil was stolen, although the date code, etc., is useful information.

you better believe if a semi full of Mobil was stolen Mobil headquarters would know about it.
I don’t take it lightly when some keyboard warrior starts calling me “Scum” for his guesswork. So yea a good comparison probably would be getting teeth extracted.. 😀

Why would they if it's a Walmart truck?

Besides, Mobil is a huge company. You think the headquarters of a company with $345 billion sales holds emergency meetings when a dozen boxes of oil goes missing?

You think you managed to get a hold of the guy that would know about the theft of a dozen boxes of oil? Did you tell them you're Bill from Ohio and they patched you right through?

Guess work

Eric I would expect any less of you .. total guesswork just like 99% of your post! Tools, Filters, transmission maintenance… very very little research and lots of blah blah blah! If you don’t like the Mobil 1 posting .. you can just move on and skip all your non sense guess work. Instead you would rather make light of my phone calls, ebay experience!
I watched you make total ridiculous accusations of my fuel pump removal tool that I did not know how to use the 2 pt blah blah blah..You are very entertaining and quite funny ! Not very helpful on fixing much but definitely entertaining in a rather spiteful type attitude… Eric has to figure it out first for it to be a good idea!!! 😂 😂 😂 😂

Hey man, you totally got me wrong, I meant to just add a little humor to the thread, if I made you feel that way, I sincerely apologize, that wasn`t my intention.
I`m in no way to hazard a guess this stuff is legit or not, stolen or not, thats not my point at all, sometimes real crazy deals happens on the net and this might as well be one of them, thats good that you get to see it and take advantage.
Otherwise I dont want to be part of this heated discussion in this thread.
People are free to buy and sell whatever it pleases them, I`m not in a place to question your transaction. Probably I`d do the same thing if I see something too good to pass.
Cheers

Versia… Looks like somebody’s getting super defensive, even though they have absolutely zero facts, but they’ve called their friend who works somewhere differently than where the oil is being sold. I really like those who come to the defense of other thieves and scum bags. This person also doesn’t understand that they inferred they themselves were the scum bag, and then name called to prove such..

My choice to not use mobile one is because I have tremendous blow by with mobile one and have with multiple high power cars. If you drove your car with some *****, you’d probably understand different oil choices as well. And being that you’re very intelligent and likely the smartest person in the world, you know that the stickers on the cars don’t really have much to do with lab testing, but marketing. No need to argue with you anymore as you have all of the answers, are always right, and get great deals on stolen oil after checking with the main guy who digs for oil with mobile one next time I randomly defend some eBay shyster, please come here, and yell at me as well. I will be happy to hear your better alternatives versus dig my head in the sand like an animal.
