Interesting - Did not know that all 09 SL550's had the paddle shifters.
Mine was a CPO car, but the dealer provided printout had option code 321, which says it included 19 inch wheels and steering wheel gearshift paddles.
The owner's manual says:
U.S. vehicles: Steering wheel gearshift control
is available on vehicles with AMG Sport
Package, on SL 63 AMG, and on SL 65 AMG
only.

I just joined this forum, so I apologize if I’m incorrectly formatting this reply.
Top speed on NV roads is 80 MPH. However since only 13% of the state is populated, there’s plenty of unpatrolled, straight highways.
