In Europe the new SL's came out as 2002's. Looks like SQL's SL is in Poland (license plate country ID PL)...

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Well it's interesting which car would be faster for 1/4 mile - your SL55 or my RS4...
One thing that i think shouldn't be put on SL are those orange lights on the sides of the bumpers there in the US. We don't have those here in Europe.

i see that black exterior colour is the most popular one
i love black cars
btw: i wash and wax my car every week

actually my dads car.. three more days till i'm fifteen!

the secret is quite simple... just try to take photos of the car right after cleaning

that's my method

Regarding the stone chips, where we live it is absolutely certain to get them. Quite a pain especially on black cars

It appears that most of the SL's are black w Charcoal. Personally, I hate the Charcoal two tone because the light grey looks cheesy. For some reason, the charcoal that Mb uses in the SL looks way different from the charcoal that they use in the S class, but they insist on using the same name.
I personally like the Java interior, I guess it's called Stone?, but it was not available on the SL55
Ridiculous sales strategy from Mercedes here; you can buy a $123K car and have four interior colors, one color on the steering wheel and two questionable designo packages. Idiotic, given that every AMG is build to order and not for inventory anyway...
While I like the light interiors, they are very sensitive to dirt. I remember driving the old SL (triple black) with the top down and it was like a vacuum cleaner. Dust and road dirt on the dash, seats and the softtop cover.
A dark interior just is easier to clean and makes more sense.
My 2 cents...

I guess color choices are always a matter of taste. Btw. the black/charcoal is different on the AMG interior (darker) than the standard SL.
