i remember seeing a thread for this car when they began working on it. i was impressed with the custom work on the nav screen and sound system. i like the wide body but they should have changed out the tail lights

First, car needs to be polished. Second, that wood is just ugly. Lastly, the front is lame. Only thing I was impressed with was the 345s on the rear. HUGE plus for that. Oh, and the nav console looks like it belongs in a Honda, sorry.

Car needs to be polished, I see swirl marks/scratches galore. I recommend 3M or Menzerna. Second, get rid of that fugly interior wood-- black piano finish or carbon fiber, the front... just get a MKB kit. The interior console, just don't touch. It comes fine from the factory. If you must have a bigger screen, upgrade to the 05 model interior. Problem solved. jmo...

Dayum I love the body kit minus Grill/frnt/rear/bumpers/exhaust pipes/interior in general "head rests for Rainman to make sure he's in right car"
/chrome wheel choice....Besides that, frickin insane fabrication on side skirts rear & frnt 1/4 panels verry kool.
Funny I just got back from Santa Barbara Mercedes they have an SL65 BS in stock
I used to think rounded lines like in the above creation would've been better design route for the SL BS, but after seeing these pix I have to say MB's creation w/edgy fenders wins hands down
Don't get me wrong I'd pursue the above body kit just to be able to run 6" lips w/345's![bow](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bowdown.gif)
Thanx for sharing
Any info on who built this? or if kit will be available?

The Nose
The Nose (Mercedes Emblem) on the front is the WORST i have ever seen on any MERCEDES, if you disagree show us something more terrible.

Wow, I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out. Then I hurled my lunch. Way to make a 150K+ car look like you threw on some decals from your $35 Revel plastic model.

Although I'm not for the appearance mods on the car, the audio setup is insane. I forget where I saw the build thread months ago, but it has some pretty trick ICE details.

I met the guy who was part of the build when he visited my installer in Florida and another guy who helped in the wiring is working on my SL65 now. It seems like a great install but a bit over the top for me...the amount of equipment is incredible and I can only think of the amount of weight that is added to the already heavy SL600...

I like the widened rear body work...the front isn't my style. The wood isn't to my liking but it's his money...and the cost of the install and equipment from what I heard is redonkulous...
