Mercedes C200K Coupe
Is this a good deal? (SL500 @ 74K!!!!)

well, the guy selling it is from the US anyway, but...

he said it only has 13000 on its mileage. I asked him if it was involved in an accident or something. he said no.

so, what do you think?

If you can't refuse the bargain basement price, then go for it. But 13000 miles sounds like it *may* not be in the ideal condition like the rest of the "used" SL500's that you could find on Ebay. I would expect to see a lot of stone chips in the paint. But this car already has a 13K mile head start. This could mean that this car will be hurt year after year with steep depreciation provided that you average 15k miles a year.

if your cheap on $10k then go for it, but 13k mile does sound a bit too much for a 2003.
but then again the 2003sl500 does have a waiting list

Becareful... as they say, If a good deal is too good to be true...

Is this an online transaction?

Will you able to see the car personally?

Is there an escrow?

There is a common scam going on where a US Citizen is offered a ridiculously low price for a car located in a different country. The seller will ask the person to wire the money into an escrow. However, the escrow is a "fake" escrow.

They could be trying to pull the same scam off of you since you're in Kuwait.
