The driver's side window catches on the weather stripping when I open the door on my '06 sl500. If I pause slightly when opening the door the window will clear the rubber. Is this a common problem? Does anyone know if there is an adjustment for it? thanks

Did you have any luck resolving this? I wanna change it myself but dont know the part number for the weather strip

No, I didn't. I believe the problem on my car was that the window was adjusted to high into the weather stripping, not the weather stripping itself.
Talked to some mechanics and none seemed too confident about adjusting the window. Possibility of leaking. So I am living with it. Open the door a little slower and give the window a chance to clear the weather stripping.

MY 05 was leaking, dealership was able to adjust and is fine now.

Nice. Im glad you got it fixed. Idk if warranty will cover my weather strip issue since they might notice i messed with it.
