Operation of Rear Windows

I'm just beginning to familiarize myself with the SL550 -- had the salesman take me for a spin and explain the features as I looked over things -- and cannot remember how to operate the rear windows.

Can someone please explain?

I recall them automatically (?) lowering when the hardtop was dropped and I can't recall how they were raised when we went for a ride.

Can the rear windows be lowered when the hard top is up?

I only recall seeing switches for the driver's- and passenger's-side windows but no separate controls for the corresponding rear windows. Are those operated from the same switches for the front windows?

Thank you, kindly, for your responses.

Yes, the rear widows are operated by the same switches as the front windows. If you press the window "down" button when the front windows are already fully down, the rears will go down. Likewise, pulling "up" when the front windows are fully up will raise the rears. When you lower the roof, the rear windows automatically go down to avoid the front down-rear up faux pas.

very nice, indeed, D2FORGED ... thanks to all who've posted replies to my inquiry ... i just may have to re-think my long-held tradition of driving only black automobiles ... the white is stunning and accentuates the darkness of the vents, the wheel wells and the outlines of the doors and movable roof panels ! ... trust you have the all black interior .
