Is it posible to swap an instrument cluster from one SL to another ?.
Hi all
As per the title, is is possible to swap out the instrument cluster from one SL to another without any problems with recoding etc ?. I realise the dealer would have to set it up in the car but can it be done or are they too specific to each car to make this an option ?.
My display is faulty and the dealer wanted to fit a new one at extreme expense to me but i have noticed used clusters on eBay etc and wonder if its possible to swap mine out and have the dealer recode a used one ?.
I had heard that once coded into a car they cant be recoded to another but i cant say for sure if its true.
So would a cluster from a 600 or 350 work 100% in a 500 after recoding ?.
Anyone ever done this ?.
