Update and clarification:
To open the dome unit, there are a total of 4 clips.
2 on each side of the translucent plastic approx. 45 degrees facing you, and 2 other clips in the front on the solid plastic about 2 fingers from the center of the unit (both sides).
Pry a little bit on the center left clip, then the center right clip to evenly open the unit.
Next is the blinking lights --> If you can live with the blinking LEDs when opening the door, once you drive for 10 seconds or so, both the LEDs come on. I have the deep blue color and dayum.... so sexy!

license plate lighting
How do you get to the license plate bulbs? after taking the two screws out that hold the covers in place do you have to try and pry the cover out?

The trick my friend, is to remove 1 screw completely while removing about 90percent of the other screw so that it stilll hangs with the cover. Then using the screw which is still in place, gently pull it down.

I just installed led bulbs in my interior. However, the T10 wedge led bulbs wont work in the dome assembly, but they work in other places where the T10 can go. I noticed that there is a little niche inside the bulb holder that won't allow the led bulb to go all the way down. Has anyone else had issues like this??
