SL/R230: high mount third brake light

2003 sl500
high mount third brake light
parts.com has a slightly different price for 2003 and the 2007 w/ or w/o the sl65. I thought these lights were compatible for all years. I hate to be a stickler over a couple bucks, but the '07 light is a few bucks cheaper. are they the same light(s)/compatible? I just want a red one. also, do you know if the purchase from parts.com comes w/ the weather seal?

maybe.. depends on the seal and etc... mine was cracking for whatever reason and on day after taking a drive it was miraculously missing. 
anyways, anyone got a walkthrough on the install?

oh, no.. i was asking cause mine had a couple of smaller internal cracks in the lens and i wanted to replace it... now its just gone.. GONE!
i really need a DIY or im gunna have to payt he 150 installation at the dealer

Details sent, I included the air bag for the steering wheel, once the bag is off you just have to remove the center bolt with a 10mm hex key,, best done with an impact air gun.
Do not turn on the ignition with the Air bag unplugged or you will need STAR to turn off the SRS lamp
