SmartTV question
I have a 2007 SL550 in the US. In the audio menu, there is a button for DVD. I get audio when DVDs play, but no video - even when in park with parking brake engaged. Something about video being faded out to keep from distracting the driver

Will the SmartTV product fix this? Is there another solution?

I went to Mercedes Service Center of Arlington, and they said there is NO way to display video. Then why have it in the menu? Why pay extra $$$ for a DVD player, if the video can never be displayed?

Huh..I have a 2007 and I can view the DVDs when the are inserted in the Comand (not in the CD-unit behind the seats).

From your profile, you are in Germany. US spec will not while uk spec will. I'm trying to find a way to make te us version play as well.

EDIT: My mistake lol. I missed the year on this. Sorry for brining this back up.
