Side Flaps not locking when opening/closing vario roof
My top would not open this evening, and after reviewing the PDF file that is available on here somewhere called, "Vario Roof Diagnostic Aid.pdf" I discovered that switch S126/1 was not getting closed. The side flap on that side was sort of hanging down about two inches, not making contact with switch S126/1 therefore sending the signal that side flap has not fully tucked under.
If I pushed it up, I could hear the switch click, and the flap stayed there, but when the trunk lid was closed, the flap fell down that 2" again, opening switch S126/1.
I have a temp workaround . . . I placed velcro on the inside of the trunk lid and on the inside of the flap. Now, when it is closed by the hydrolic pump and the flaps are pulled closed the one on the driver side stays folded in because of the velcro. Works great for now, but not the best option.
Is this an easy fix? The car is under warranty, but I have to take the SmartTop module out if I take it to the shop, and I really don't want to have to do that.
Tips or Ideas?
Thanks,

Todd's link works, but this link skips a set of threads:

It's an awesome proceedure! I ordered the part from parts.com, cost $48.99 with CA tax and shipping When you order it says Qty 1 but you are getting two brackets in the order. Took me 25 min on first side (reading, thinking, tool collection), then less than 10 for the second!
The stronger brackets P/N 2307500111 are all you need! I inspected the ones I removed and there was a slight bend in them, allowing the gears to slip!
