In-Service Date Error!
I took my 06 SL to the dealer yesterday for a trunk open/closure problem, believing I still had a few more days left on the factory warranty.
My great SA looked in the computer and said "your warranty expired yesterday," which was news to me!
My SL was purchased and delivered to me on 15 Jul 06 by another dealer, but the MB computer says the in-service date was 12 July!
I'm scheduled to take the SL back there next week for the fix, and they'll likely cover it, but it's not yet certain that they will. I'll take my purchase paperwork with me.
Suggest you confirm your in-service date in MB's system. You never know when it might become a contentious issue. I know, this is pretty basic stuff.
