SL/R230: NEED HELP with a car purchase.

2006 SL500 19,800 miles ($39K) Black/Black (Keyless Go, AC/Heat Ventilated Seats, Massage Seats and the standard stuff).
2005 SL55 AMG 14,000 miles ($48K) Black/Black) - everything except park/distrontic and no pano roof.
From my research, the 2006 500 is under market value by $8,000. The 2005 SL55 is at market value.
I have seen SL500's selling that are 2003's in the range of mid-to upper 20's (actual selling). I've seen 2003's SL55's selling around $37K. So, what I'm seeing that in 2 years, the SL55 will lose around 11K dollars, whereas the SL500 will lose in 3 years 10K dollars - making the SL500 a wiser financial decision (I'm obviously taking the fun factor out of the picture here).
Am I missing something? The reason I'm not enthused with the AMG is because the one feature that I must have is a PANO roof and it's not there. MB Corp says it won't work if I want to buy and switch out the non pano with the pano. The dealer says it will (or should) but there will be no warranty on it. If I knew I could relatively reasonably and problem free add a PANO (anyone want to switch) on the AMG, I'd suck it up and get the car despite lack of.
I've already purchased a Chrysler warranty on this.
I'm confused if this is working out right in my head. Please straighten any inaccuracies out. THANKS!
