How does the TPMS work if I put on new rims and tires?
Would it be errored??

If you put sensors in the new wheels the system will recognize them and report tire pressure.

If you run without sensors, Command will show a TPMS error.

Various....
^^ Bang on, Benz if I remember correctly should reset themselves after a few miles of driving.

TPMS error = anonying as hell, get the new sensors or have the dealer program the warning off if you don't like the TPMS system.

I just had them quoted to me at $170 for the set, but I am not sure if those were OEM or after market. I would guess the latter.

That might be the difference between OEM and after market - just a guess. I just bought a set of wheels and tires and the same issue came up. Contact Edgar at Need4Speed if you want to find out if you can buy a set at $170. Rather than buying a new set of TPMS, I will transfer the orginal equipment into the new wheels. I have been told this can be done without having to remove the tire form the wheel. Will see.
