2003 SL500 Service/Repairs

Hey all new here, couldn't find a thread that matches my topic.
I have an 03 SL500R and I'm leaking what looks like oil. From what I've read could be hydrolic fluid. Attaching some pics. Has anyone seen a leak in this location? Odd place behind the wheel. What was the problem you had? Cost to repair? Dealer is booked for a week.

I had similiar problem that was diagnosed as a Hydraulic spacer in the suspension similiar to solid Bushings but with fluid in them instead. The service guy showed me the bushings and it solved the leak. My leaking fluid had a dark tint to it. Good luck

Great schematic thank you. Gives me an Idea of what might be affected in the ABC system at least.

I took the car to the dealer today to get it estimated. I put it on a flat bed because when I started driving it up today it was leaking like crazy. I could hear it spraying on the inside of fender. Repair guy says could be thousands of dollars just depends on whats wrong. Says that most people go wrong by driving on it after the problem starts. I told him that I parked it when it started leaking and he advised that best and hopefully its not too bad.

Looks to be a ABC leak. I really really hope u have an extended warranty. If the pump is out, it will cost you around $4,000 (parts + labor). Do a search on the forums, there are literally hundreds of posts related to ABC pump failures/repairs. Thank god for extended warranties.

Well, here is the damage. Got the car back last night.

Total $2019.91

Parts $1009.27
labor $884.04
Environmental fee $45.00

Pressure Supply Valve Unit 884.04
Hydraulic Oil 79.50
Valve Unit 929.77

"Removed LF inner fender and left side gravel shield to access valve. Removed and replaced valve assembly. Filled hydrolic system. Bled system of air and inspected for proper operation."

This is the dealer that is closest to my place and did the work, they were super cool.

Pressure Supply Valve Unit

The pressure unit you had replaced is for the front suspension, correct?
But each wheel has a valve unit, correct?

Headlights &ABC

I need help . My 03 sl500 headlight gives me lot of problems. I normaly set the headlight switch to AUTO. All the suden, in the morning when I start the car head for work in my garage, I noticed the headlight does not come on and at night, the low bean cuts off when I start the car but the right stays on. When I turn the key to start the car, both lights are on but when the engine run, the left headlight cuts off. And the turn signal light blinks fast as if it burned out, but it is not. First it happen on the right and then it happen on the left. My ABC is not working properly. Left side is lower than the right.

What could cause that and how can I fix it? . Your help will be greatley appreciated.

The ABC is either dirty fluid, or a component going bad. Unfortunately see the Stealer.
