Has anyone had problems with the power top saying "close boot" and not latching good keeping the top from going up or down?

Any suggestions?

 

This is a problem with the trunk latch. It develops vacuum leaks over time and will not pull down the last bit to close the trunk. It needs to be repaired or replaced. Warrenty will cover it if you are still under warrenty. There is a post on this forum about removing the latch assembly and using epoxy to seal the leaks. You can try that. A temporary repair is to disconnect the trunk battery and reconnect it. This seems to work for a while but will eventually malfunction again.
