SL/R230: I need THIS part...please help.

I need THIS part...please help.
This is wierd. I have a cherry 2003 SL500 on which I just turned 19,000 miles. It's perfect in every way, but now I need a SMALL part. It's just a piece of plastic, but Mercedes tells me that I can't get it without buying the whole part that it's attached to.
It's the Multi-Contour Seat Switch plastic piece on top of the control. This is the control on the base of the seat that has all the lumbar controls and even a PULSE control for a nice massage while driving. One of the tabs that snapped it on top of the electric control came off and it wouldn't stay on. Instead of me being smart and gluing it on or something, I left it just sitting on top of the control. Well, my pant cuff or leg must have knocked it off while exiting the car, and it's now lost!
All I want is another plastic piece...but not the whole control. Mercedes wants $264.00 for the part, not including installation. I would of course settle for a used control (and alll I need is the top piece), but I can't find it on EBay or anywhere else.
If you have expertise on Mercedes parts, please let me know how I can find one of these at a reasonable price.
Part # is 215-820-72-10-7C45. (driver's side control)
I'm out of ideas.
