As long as the tips you chose fit into the same slot...and there are a million choices out there. I plan to switch out the whole exhaust system on my car, which has no effect on whether I have the diffuser or not.

I've been reading through the thread and I'm interested in being added to your list for purchasing the kit.. however I'm not sure if this rear cf diffuser kit will fit my car. I have a 07' SL 550 with standard oval tips, I believe my SL has the "stock AMG sport package body", but not sure.. is there a body code or a positive way of knowing?

I would be interested. I have an 07 550 AMG sport kit but i modified the exhaust cutout just a little to fit quad exhauts tips. Will it fit? Perhaps if we knew the dimensions of the part.

The demensions are the EXACT size as the black plastic part, because it will be made to fit in that same area. Just post a picture or send me a picture of what you cut, I can tell you if it eill effect anything.

I have spoken to Neal at Euroteck and he has agreed to create a rear Carbon Fiber Diffuser for the R230 SL500 with the OEM AMG Sports Package body. We need 10 orders, pre-paid before production in order to proceed. Cost is estimated around $700.00. The part will be an insert, or direct bolt on. No modification or cutting will be needed. It will be similar to a stock model, but can be modified in R&D if we decide to tweak it a bit.
Send me a PM if interested, or put me in contact with anyone who may be. Also if you have any local shops that might be interested in picking one up for stock. I would imagine that if we can get more than ten orders we can look for a reduced cost.

I do have the 951 amg sports package. Do you have to remove anything like the black plastic piece or will it fit over it and then use the bolts under the bumper to attach it?

The black plastic part gets removed, it is only on my double sided tape. Our part will cover that existing area, and then it uses new double sided tape and would probably use 1 bolt per side, to mount like our other diffusers.
