Service B

My Service B message came on just the other day.

Even though my car has only 25k miles, my wrench is recommending that we change the plugs (24 plugs!) for around $1k!

Does this sound legitimate?

I only got the car a few months ago and this is my first occasion for bringing it to a mechanic. This guy was recommended by my long time Porsche indie, but otherwise, I do not know him from Adam.

That's because

the plug interval is 5years/60000 miles whichever comes first He thinks you are overdue and going by the book you are overdue. Depends whom you want to take advice from
on the M275 engine
plugs run about 10 bucks each don't know if you diy but you might give it a go.
Or look for a good reasonable indie shop to perform the routine work and plugs.
Not rocket science
$1000 for a good mechanic to do the plugs in well under 3 hours?
