SL 500
Mufflers
I am looking for a more aggressive sound from my SL. Not too loud, but louder than stock. Any suggestions?

Remove the resonators, it's cheaper than buying a new exhaust system.

sl500 has a resonator? all i see is secondary cats then the mufflers.

Had mine done for $400 bucks. Best mod I've done so far, it sounds like an american muscle car lol.

Delete secondary cats.

Job done.

Seriously, best 300 bucks I've spent on the car. Just make sure whoever is doing the work welds new piping in and does not use clamps... your going to want this to be permanent.

I've seen some people do an X-pipe. Does it make a difference and if so what kind of difference? which is better?

How does the in-cabin noise? Much difference? I don't want it to be too loud inside...
