can anyone add to this keyless-go button R&R thread

I was wondering if anyone that has removed and replace the keyless-go button on the gear shifter that can add to this thread . On removal the two pins are very fragile. And of course I broke them. I did get the broken ones out.

I see that. I was just at the dealer they will not sell the switch separately from the shifter knob. The cost was $482.00. ouch

Can a keyless-go switch be purchased separately? If i were to purchase a new knob is there an after market place to go? For a really nice custom one?

Rick,

Thanks for that site i will use it. I have chestnut interior you think a carbon fiber one would look good? They are a lot cheaper and more chrome.

I saw one on www.dctms.com

Don't think will make a major difference on yours interiors only installing the CB keyless Shift knob. Just find out or email dctms.com if CB shift knob includes the keyless system(I don't think so).

Rick,

The one they have is really sweet. They chrome up the start stop button.

It will be the only thing in the interior carbon fiber.
