SL/R230: No aftermarket AMG 18s?

No aftermarket AMG 18s?
I've been told by more than 1 wheel distributor that no aftermarket AMG 18s will fit on the R230 because they aren't made to fit over our brakes. Just looking for a final answer, anyone ever fit an aftermarket AMG 18" on the R230?

Clearing the calipers is a challenge.

You can also get custom wheels (e.g. CCW) and high end (e.g. HRE) wheels in 18" sizes. I'm running 18" HREs on my SL55.
