I was curious on something.

Seeing as how the SL 600 can easily break 160 with the governor turned off...is there a way to swap out the speedometer cluster for something with a higher max speed...for example an SL 55? Or is there a company that makes a *good* speedometer cluster for the car which exceeds 160?

Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

I would think that your digital will read up to 999. Are you planning on going faster than that??

I wish someone would offer a recode to mph for the euro cluster. That way we could have a higher (marked) top speed while keeping the same oem style.

FWIW, on my 2003 you can change from miles to km in the configuration menu -- not so on the euro versions?

No, no. I meant the actual speedometer needle, heh. I know the digital readout should keep going. It would just make sense...at least in my opinion.
