SL/R230: Goodbye
Goodbye
Traded my 04SL w 93K. Like leaving a super model mistress(I imagine). Best car I have ever experienced, but after 20 some non routine service/repair events and 2 baling wire repairs(gas tank baffle and top side panel) leaking ABC pump and no warranty I balked. The best to you all.
I understand completely. My experience with my SL500 has been similiar. When my extended warranty is up at 98K I will have to say goodbye as well and I will miss the car greatly. The repair costs have been truly eye watering. The extended warranty was $2800. Repair costs have been over $16,000 coverred by warranty. I wish Mercedes could have made the SL at least as reliable as my 2005 E-Class which has been great.

G37 Nice, but GTR can also fit grandkids
But my GTR has room up front (other than driver, of course) for 1 front passenger seat (could be an adult) + room in back for 3 grandkids or 4 smaller ones. Don't know if there any seatbelts in back though.
