During SL in the winter
SL 550 is enjoyable to drive all seasons except for winder. In our area, the temperature is around 30-45 F. It is quite cold to to drive the top down. So we drive the top up with the heater on. I wonder whether anybody who owns SL drive in cold winter wth the top down? If so, how do you manage cold temperature. I am just curious but I recall reading a review article that we can drive SL into snow wth the top down and warm air scarf. I could not believe it, though.

I find my '05 SL500 to be alright in those kind of temps with the top down. I cruise windows all up, heated seat on full, heating on 2/3rd power directed at feet driver side and centre passenger side angled toward driver.

Dunno why you put it away all winter and waste it, im not sure what your winter is actually like there but this time of year is as good as any to enjoy the SL here in the UK with the heating on blast as described

They may maintain the roads a lot differently across the pond. Many people in the US don't fear introducing the SL to the snow or cold, but rather the salt on the roads. I put mine away each year, also.
