Had a blowout on Saturday and mounted the spare to limp home. I had to pump the spare up with the compressor and was wondering if it is reusable? Will it fit back in the trunk inflated or can I deflate and use again?
This is my first blowout in the SL so don't laugh!
It is reusable. The other end of the valve cap is actually a valve stem remover so you can easily deflate the tire completely. Its a little tough to get back in, but it fits back.
Don't let the tire shop toss the valve stem cover away like mine did.
Also, if they have to special order you a new tire - don't let the kid at the tire place pump up your spare tire to 80PSI because of the big yellow sticker that says "80"
