rattle noise in cabin?
hello,
Can anyone share their experience with rattling noises in their R230?
My car rattles whenever I encounter uneven road surface or entering driveways (I guess from the twist in chassis when entering
)
are there ways to improve the noise level from the rattles? It getting serious!!
Thanks

What you are hearing are probably not 'rattles' in the sense that there are loose parts. It's most likely the rubber seals and other contact points in the top that have lost their original slickness. As you guessed, the chassis flex causes these the seals and contact points to make a 'cricking' noise when going over bumps or entering driveways. The solution is to lubricate the seals and contact points. There has been much discussion on this forum and a lot of good information on how best to do this. You can do a search. Here's a string that you could start with: https://mbworld.org/forums/sl-class-...oof-fixed.html
