SL/R230: Brakes get noisy with time?

Brakes get noisy with time?
I just was at my dealer as my rear brake on the right side was getting noisy upon releasing the pedal as I am quite nervous about anything that might affect security.
One of the dealer's technicians did say that this does not affect security but that the noise is a known problem developing with time. We made an appointment for a two days visit of the car in the workshop for a brake replacement, not only the one making noise but all 4 as I far as I understand.
Did any of you experience anything similar?
