Front Bumper Help
Hi there everyone...love the forums here as everyone is so knowledgeable. I have spent the past googling and searching the forums for an answer to this question. I have a 2005 SL500 with the sport package and wanted to upgrade my front bumper. I really like 2007-2008 front with the chrome portion around the fog lights. I have read and heard that I need to buy more than the bumper cover. I was wondering if anyone knows what parts I would need or where I can read about doing this. I would greatly appreciate anyone's input. If there are OEM quality alternatives that people can recommend then I would consider that too...but rather have OEM and willing to spend the money! Thanks again!!!

I replaced my OEM bumper from my 03 with the AMG aftermarket from Sarona Auto Parts in Queens New York and the bumper fit like a glove with very little adjustments. I had previously ordered the same bumper from dimensions in Calif. and the bumper could not be used because of fitment. There was no extra parts needed according to the body shop I used. Bumper looks great. Oh, the fog lamps were upgraded as well. They have a new bumper now that will fit 03 and up with the new led lights and it looks real good. Hope this helps you.

The quality is fine I find no issue with the quality at all. I will get some pictures up on site when I can. Very satisfied. I have the old OEM bumper in great shape in pewter. Only reason I changed is I gave my 03 a facelift.

I was looking at this bumper by Sarona...what do you guys think? Will I be happy with a 3rd party vs OEM? I called my dealer yesterday and the bumper conversion was over 5000 without paint and install.
