Hey Chris, 2 questions..why was it necessary to modify/replace the crash bar ($1000 for new one).

Most face lifts use current one, Is it because you used oem sl63 front end?

Second, all cooling systems and radiator (sl65 cooling systems) should not have to be changed, although if any issues (leaks or seeping) now would be a good time I suppose. ...is that correct ?

What's your new project btw?

Hello Chris
would you be so kind to send me the list with the needed parts to do the front restyling? I have a SL R230 2006 year ( before restyling). I know the most important parts: headlights, hood, front bumper, front side fenders but i think there are more (lights supporters, energy absorbers and so on) which are now missing for me so my project is stuck.

This is very unfortunate as this thread was really inspiring. Unfortunately, the Mbworld forum moderators have banned some forum members like Chris_the_Swede who have contributed greatly to the forum, while they continue to allow others to advertise their businesses without consequences. You have implicitly revealed that chris is banned and Chris The Swede are the same member. Chris The Swede is still very active on MBWorld as you can see from his S63 project. He has succeeded in defying his ban up until now, but thanks to you alerting everyone of his dual identities a moderator may soon end that.

I hope to see more threads like this one in the future.
Would I go ahead with the conversion of my own 05? Probably not since it’s the high mileage example and I like to keep it all factory. On the same token, if there was someone interested in doing it, I could offer my help for free. I find doing things on this cars very therapeutic (as long as that’s not your only car)
I think that everyone enjoys seeing the fruits of his hers own labour. Why would we do it otherwise?

That's true. But I gave you a warning first, and Rodney warned that you were vulnerable. Instead of backing off you did the opposite. You escalated by trolling me on two threads that I started. That was unbelievably stupid.

That was it for me. Ultimately, all the moderator had to do was follow a URL you provided and find trojan malware on your web page, and with that the Benz Ninja was no more...

Sigh.

A moderator stated he found malware on your web page, and I trust the moderators of this forum. I believe other members do too, and since that web page simply sells expensive ($400) software that hardly anyone needs, why take the risk of visiting it?

Finally, since I visited that page I've noticed two things: (1) my web browser has been acting strange, and (2) you obtained biographical information about me -- information that you posted on MBWorld.

I personally prefer the pre-facelift headlights and hood, but love the newer tail lights and rear diffuser.

That pano roof is something i would have considered.

Most impressive was the bose to harmon upgrade. That enables a lot of modern connectivity options that just arent available on the early models.
