Hey Chris, 2 questions..why was it necessary to modify/replace the crash bar ($1000 for new one).
Most face lifts use current one, Is it because you used oem sl63 front end?
Second, all cooling systems and radiator (sl65 cooling systems) should not have to be changed, although if any issues (leaks or seeping) now would be a good time I suppose. ...is that correct ?
What's your new project btw?

would you be so kind to send me the list with the needed parts to do the front restyling? I have a SL R230 2006 year ( before restyling). I know the most important parts: headlights, hood, front bumper, front side fenders but i think there are more (lights supporters, energy absorbers and so on) which are now missing for me so my project is stuck.

I really enjoy reading about this project.
I hope to see more threads like this one in the future.
Would I go ahead with the conversion of my own 05? Probably not since it’s the high mileage example and I like to keep it all factory. On the same token, if there was someone interested in doing it, I could offer my help for free. I find doing things on this cars very therapeutic (as long as that’s not your only car)
I think that everyone enjoys seeing the fruits of his hers own labour. Why would we do it otherwise?

Cheap thing to do but makes a huge different at night..
Big difference on the old weared one and the brand new one with LED.
Not in the dark but anyway a pic of it.

Time to install the faclift look carbon covers...
Very simple to do. Just "click" of the glass and unscrew these 3 screws and slide of the old cover.
Then just apply the new cover and fasten the 3 screws into it. Done.
....Before and after.
Can anyone tell me where to buy these covers?

That's true. But I gave you a warning first, and Rodney warned that you were vulnerable. Instead of backing off you did the opposite. You escalated by trolling me on two threads that I started. That was unbelievably stupid.
That was it for me. Ultimately, all the moderator had to do was follow a URL you provided and find trojan malware on your web page, and with that the Benz Ninja was no more...
Sigh.

I personally prefer the pre-facelift headlights and hood, but love the newer tail lights and rear diffuser.
That pano roof is something i would have considered.
Most impressive was the bose to harmon upgrade. That enables a lot of modern connectivity options that just arent available on the early models.
