Just watched the video. Wow!
I had considered buying an SL65 from them a while back.
I think that the AMG mention is no big deal, since for one, there is no such thing as an AMG SL600, plus there are many clueless dealers that call a Mercedes "AMG" as soon as there are AMG rims on it.
In your case, there was neither a sport package (identical to AMG bodywork minus the rear diffuser) or AMG wheels, but that's obvious and a bit of research on your part could have resolved that.
The electrical clearly has some sort of short (had something similar with the display which was caused a short in the trunk - phone module); this could impact all including the keyless go.
That said, the bodywork alone is the biggest issue since you simply wouldn't know how badly that car was patched together.
Glad you got rid of it and hope you found a better one. SL600's are great cars for the money!

Thanks so much for posting this info. "Charma is a *****" and I hope they get theirs! If half of this story is true, (and im sure it is) I hope a ****in Airplane crashes into their building. I wouldn't wish this kinda **** on ANYONE! I hate Scumbags like this!
Hmm....not sure what is so special about this situation. Unfortunately most dealers do this nowadays....it's an absolute must you get a car checked out and not buy sight unseen. I don't understand people who buy $50k cars or any expensive car more than a beater over the Internet and don't do research or get it checked out first by an independent. They don't do it because they are either too lazy or too cheap.
I could tell in 2 seconds that wasn't an AMG by looking at the bumpers...they didn't even offer an AMG sports package for the SL600 for several years. Had OP done 2 seconds of research, he would know this.
If the car was sold with issues....understandable....but that's why you get the car checked out BEFORE buying it regardless. Based on the seller's Ebay feedback...which is spotless....with a ton of cars sold (and people seem to be picky about used cars so it's quite impressive to have the feedback they have)....I'd be willing to bet there are 2 sides to the story or buyer is highly overreacting or overemphasizing something here.
Some people should stick to buying in person. Just my 0.02...

I do agree with you about him getting a Car checked out 1st. I live in Florida and for Dam sure I would have flown up there for a 5,000 Car never-mind a 50,000 V12. I guess
I assumed he had it checked out or knew the Sellers personally or something. No way in hell am I spending that much cash without seeing it in person first. I guess im weird or something.

Exactly....on a new car, no problem. However...taking a seller's word on a used car for $50k that can easily nail you back another five figures for repair is just not smart....at least the guy sounds like he was able to back out of the deal. Hopefully he wises up....

The car dealer stated that the car was equipped with the AMG sports package. That is simple enough. The car does not have the AMG sports package. That is false and misleading advertising on the part of the dealer. Of course some of the other issues could not be avoided, even with an inspection. But the false advertising is something the dealer should be held accountable for. I am now in the middle of a battle with the seller of my SL600, stated car is equipped with the AMG package and the car comes with a warranty. Neither of which are true. This is not a scam it is wrong and should be against the law. Any attorneys out there, I sure do need some help with my case.
