Sl 600 fuel pump noise
I have an 04 SL 600 with 32,000 miles. Recently I had to have the fuel pump replaced. Before this happened I heard a high pitched whistle coming from the area behind the drivers rear wheel. After replacement, there is still some whistle coming from there, but not so loud. I don't think there should be any noise-I don't remember there being one before. My MB dealer (Bangor Maine) doesn't know if there should be any noise or not, and can't seem to find out!
So, do your V 12's have a noise? Any ideas what it might be? Car seems to run fine, but it is winter and it is in the garage until Spring

Pump noise
So can anybody tell me if their SL 600 makes a slight whisteling noise coming from behind the drivers rear wheel when ideling?
Please, somebody just start up your car and listen.
