Radar Detector Creativity
Given the awesome performance capabilities of the new SL's...has anyone given serious consideration to an "esthetic" installation of a radar detector..like a Valentine One? Any idea's on how to do that cosmetically when the new beauties ( in my case..an SL55AMG hopefully).. arrive?

there are a few instalers who can do a V1 installation into your rearview mirror. do a google search. also check out the boards on http://www.funcarsonline.com/ - the 996 and 996TT guys have done it frequently.
i believe it is quite expensive. the cost of a V1 plus $500 to $1000 in parts and (mostly) labor.
if you only own one car that's one thing, but i own a few cars, plus i tend to keep them only a year to two each, so while it's annoying to tote my V1 from car to car, it's way cost effective. my two pennies.
