Hello.

Next the hood.... I have cut out holes at the hood and I'm going to instal same grid at the holes as I have at the front pumper.... like the SL65 Black series have.
The wheels is here at monday....

I have a solution about that. I leave a low edge (4mm) at the front and I'm gone drill holes at the lowest corners and install small pipelines at the "inside" of the hood where the water can run down to the right place ....
Here few more pictures with the "old" wheels.
I'm gone also paint that front grill black....

Wheels are looking sick Juha! In other news, seems like I am finally getting my refund minus the shipping cost which I have no idea why, as none of it was my fault.

That sounds good, that gets something back and I think it was the right decision.
Al hood I now have had some degree of damages .... only small ones which are easy to fix.
Today I'm gone install finally the hood and front diffuser..... and at the weekend I must go the cars show with my both Mercedes cars.

I'm so angry at Rennen, Savini wheels, ADV , DPE and so on.... If you ask the offset from them at the same time you order the wheels they don't tell you the offset... Can't accept that.... NO WAY!!! If I pay something I want to now what I pay for. They only answer you "they have made a hard work to find out and measure the offset.... so it's theirs secret"....
So I decide to measure all myself and tell everyone what they can use....
Now the wheel dealers have not any secrets anymore.....
So now I'm very happy to tell everyone what specs I have.
Front . 10*20" ET-4.
Rear . 12,5 * 20" ET-18
Tires front 265*30 * 20"
Tires rear 325*25 * 20"
I have not test fit the front yet because I have not the tires but It's very close with the fender line.... May be to close... so ET 0 at the front would be the best choise.....
At friday I can put the whole car down and after that I can be sure if the offset are right or not... But it's look very good so far.....

Today I have made and install fender inserts covers...
This phase was very very hard and difficult to do..... Honestly it's took 12 hours...
Because you can't buy right parts which fit at and looks good I decide to made the right covers as a kit ....
Here is few pictures about the parts and how they fit the fender inside.....
Not 100% but for me the fitment is enough.

Today I have weight and compare Savini and Modular wheels setups at the rear.
Modular 12,5*20" with 325 / 25*20" tires weight 27 kg
Savini 10,5*20" with 305 / 25 * 20" (50% tires) weight 27,4 kg.
So Modular wheels have much less weight than Savini. : ) if Savini size would be 12,5 and with 325 / 25 tires…. at least 2-3 kg. each wheel.
Next I'm gone weight the front wheels....
Here is few pictures about the car and few pictures about the trunk lid cover......

Sorry for the late answer.....
I have not do anything yet regarding the leveling or the new cable wires.
I have been very busy last few days.... I was at the car show and won the first place with my SL600 and first place with my SL450.
I had probleems with the roof and now today I have fix it.
Maybe at next weekend I have time to look at leveling..... sorry.
Juha
