SL550 Power Steering Pressure Hose Problem

Hi guys,

I have a hose that needs to be replaced in my car. According to my technician, the line goes from the power steering pump to an "accumulator" and I believed the part number was 2304604324 but it isn't. I have attached the picture with both the incorrect hose (the one with tags) and the one I need (without tag). It would be awesome if anyone can get me the part number of the hose I need.

Thanks in advance!

Allan

2007 550SL Power steering pump and hose diagram

Please have a look at the diagram at the link below,

If it's #6 that will be your return line. Part number 2304604624

If it's #7 that is the pressure hose. Part number 2304604324

These are the only two hoses connects to the pump.

Hope this helps, Good luck.

Mike

EDIT ***** Perhaps they got the correct part number but send the wrong part? *****

Thanks. I have looked into the return line part (#6) on ebay but the part looks different as well:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/03-09-SL550-SL55-SL500-CLASS-R230-POWER-STEERING-FLUID-LINE-HOSE-TUBE-OEM-/320968351292?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ASL550&hash=item4abb345e3c&vxp=mtr
I was hoping someone can identify the correct part number with the line/hose in the top part of the picture that I attached in my first post.

Allan

Note: the part they sent me was indeed the correct pressure hose.

SL_57 06:53 PM 12-27-2013 Did you ever figure out the correct part number for the hose that goes from the pump to the accumulator? I also have an 07 SL550 and also bought the wrong hose! The dealership doesn't seem to be able to figure out what hose I am talking about, but it is the same one in the top of your picture. Please let me know if you have the correct part number.

Part # is "A 230 320 41 53".
The hose run from ABC pump to the Front Driver Side Valve block.
I had same problem and replaced the hose.

I had the same hose (230 320 41 53) spring a leak. Is this a difficult job to replace? Anything special need to be done before removing or after replacing? I’d appreciate any input. Shop wants 3.5 hrs labor at $122/hr ($427 total labor).

it was tight, but doable, the fitting at the pump i used a torx bit and ratcheting box end wrench I think.

Sorry to revive a dead thread. But I'm having issues routing the new line where the old one sat on the valve block. It's like a puzzle I can't figure out, and Google isn't being very helpful. Would u happen to still have your sl and could maybe take a picture of this line? Any help would be appreciated
