I believe it is known here that VVK does not make Sway bars. However it is very easy to determine the diameter of the bar. Maybe I am wrong but the RMT bar is thicker than the MB 350 part.
Thank you...the plot thickens!
Ps-The SL is (part time) in Pensacola.
As my bars were being built from VVK they mentioned a V12 sway bar package and Coilovers
FYI;
VVK R230 SL500 front bar is very large diameter
Can’t say enough their fit and finish
They are worth the cost and I have no affiliation with them either

Does anyone know if VVK is still around? I can't seem to reach anyone there.
3-4 months ago they was i have tried contacting them for a long time over email , never a reply
i have a friend in the states who popped through to the address and they was still trading he gave me the owners number , sean I believe it was we exchanged a few text message but was abit slow
Success! (Whew. was getting worried.). Sean called back and said they had received a bad batch of bars coming from their fab shop. Promised to send me another.

Chef; unless you’re going to “soup up” the handling you need to add a “real” sway bar not just one that fits unless that’s the goal
I strongly suggest using VVK set over the RMT bar because the rear bar on RMT uses the OE 350 rear bar which is significantly smaller than the VVK And the mounts on the VVK are much stronger. Don’t forget the cost. The RMT set is too close in price for the lesser sized and smaller mounted set.
Its best benefit is aimed at those in a hurry
In the big picture you can buy mismatched bars or get the best out there. It pays to get matching Fr &Rr sway bars in a car with a decent level of control and quality
Like many people here I struggled with the $ figure but it all came down to the value and I’m glad I did

I too went with VVK and could not be more pleased!
The RMT front swaybar is as thick or thicker than what is out there. Rear Sway Bar ? You must already know the argument about needing swaybars in general are needed with a coilover mod. Well I drove both with and without. The RMT bar is huge. Make a difference around 40 -65 mph ? Somewhat flatter on off ramps. I like it. Rear Sway Bar ? I just don't see the need. I am open to change my mind.
OK Like the girl in the bar said; How big is it Gene?
With sway bars and handling it's matching or balancing both Fr & Rr to a car. The rear factory bar is quite small so even though you are increasing the roll resistance in the front you can also cause a tail happy car by leaving a small bar in the rear.
Again I'm not affiliated with VVK but the front bar is 30mm and the rear is 20mm which is likely larger and more matched than using a standard SL350 Rr and the RM front
What many forget is as good as a single large front sway bar is; a better handling RWD car sports a hefty rear sway balancing out the front to keep the rear from stepping out

New here, new to MB, don't even actually own one yet, but I'm considering buying an SL55. Since I'd plan to keep it for a very long time, I'd be planning to delete the ABC as I've read up on this topic and it seems that a lot of people have done it and are very happy. I do wonder however, if VVK and their products are still available. Looks like I'm not the only one who's having a hard time reaching them, and since I'm in Europe it's not really an option to pop over to them So can you guys confirm that they are still in business and the conversion kit is available, and works as advertised? (Or if there are any alternatives worth mentioning...I'd prefer something that is designed, fabricated and tested for the exact car..)
Tony, I can see your links are OK in the connection with the lower arm, but the connection with the sway bar end is open to the elements..! I wonder how long it will last before you start listening to clicking noises! I fabricated mine too but mine are mounted over polyurethane bushings and the sway bar is mounted from the rear of the subframe like it is mounted on the E430. Also seems like that bar is pretty hefty...is that a 30 mm bar? My bar is 26 mm, but the distance from the attaching point to the torsional section of the bar is shorter, meaning less resisting momentum!
hi Colin
I removed all the ABC parts and installed KW coilovers kit , please direct me to who coded your system as I have multiple faults for ABC and SBS brake system which we cant get cleared. regards CHarl
I'm using the BC Racing coilovers & sl350 antiroll bars which work fine. W220 s500 ps pump which bolts straight on if you get the triangle bracket. As for the ABC warning light i have had the ABC removed from the computer using star diagnostics. I've basically had everything associated with the abc removed from the car.
Curious - did the Star ABC removal get rid of ALL the warning lights/alerts?
You need STAR with developer mode to code out the ABC. Not available from the dealers here for some reason, perhaps the clones come with developer mode?
Hey guys, I don't want to start a new thread, so I'll rather post a few questions here:
1) What PS could you install in your SL600 or SL65 AMG when performing a coilover conversion? It seems every video on YT is about either SL500 or SL55 AMG. They are using a PS pump from ML55 that fits perfectly. I'm not sure but I suppose V12 cars have different geometry and different mounts for PS pump. So I wonder if there is a solution for V12 cars where you can only have a single PS pump instead of tandem pump?
2) I haven't figured out if I need anti-sway bars or not (I know there is a thread about it and I'll read it) but they say you need a new engine mounts in order to provide enough clearance. So I wonder what could happen if you install the sway bars but later your engine mounts degrade? Will sway bar push against something and even crack it?
Thank you for your reply. I'm sorry, but I can't confirm the fitment. Please could you share a link for that store where you found it? I have 2005 SL65 that has M275 V12 engine. Cars with this engine were made since 2003. Everywhere I search for a PS pump for like 2005 SL65 or S65 or similar model I see tandem pumps that start from around $400 and up...
2015 SL400 (M276 Turbo), 2014 C350 Sport (M276 NA), 2004 SL500 (M113), 2004 Audi TT225 (BEA)
I never did this but am wondering if the tandem pump could have its plumbing changed to just recirculate a reduced amount of hydraulic fluid to and from the reservoir since that is what it does anyway with the ABC in place. Couldn't the feed and return lines just go to the fluid reservoir instead of out to non-existent valve blocks and shocks?
