SL55 AMG Space Saver spare tire setup
I have sold my 2003 SL55 AMG and no longer need this spare tire setup. I made it up because I couldn't stand the 'inflate-a-flat' crap that came with the car.
I just posted a classified ad for a Vredestien Space Master spare tire P195/75-18 that I configured for use on my 2003 SL55. It originally came off a '07 R class and I added a hub side spacer and longer lug bolts to make it fit onto both the front and rear positions on my SL55. Worked perfectly and clears the calipers and rotors with mms to spare. Bonus: It stores in the normal spare tire well on the SL55 too. Just as if Mercedes made it.
