SL/R230 Locked out of console and glovebox...

2005 SL500

Locked out of console and glovebox...

I have not been able to open the console or glovebox in my 2005 SL 500 for several years. The key won't open them, they are firmly latched shut. Any suggestions on what it takes to unlock them???

I see that's a way in...

I see that's a way in but I would like to be able to open the console and glovebox like I did in the past. What's causing me to be locked out???

Aren't these controlled by the Central Locking System?

2004 Silver SL600 & 1998 SLK230 White

I just did my shifter fix and noticed that the center console lid has a vacuum valve on the front side to lock the center console. Its most likely controlled by the locking system like the other vacuum locks. I am not sure how to open other than pulling the vacuum lines off pump and suck to get the lid unlocked.
