SL/R230: SL350 nearly as powerful as SL500?

SL350 nearly as powerful as SL500?
Hi Chaps,
Dyno’ed my new SL350 yesterday (just out of chance really) and found some interesting results. I know the dyno is correct, as two stock SL320’s (R129) were on before me and produced power exactly to the book.
So, my SL350 (with exactly 1000 miles on the clock) produced:
302 lb/ft of torque (410NM) from 2300 – 4000rpm
203bhp (I assume it’s low as the engine is not really run in yet)
Strange that the torque figure is so high, nearly matching the SL500 at 339 lb/ft (460NM)! I suppose that’s the pure displacement of the engine showing there.
Anyone dyno’ed there SL/S/CL500 for comparison??

Mercedes is under-quoting the power figures of most of their cars. the 55K cars for example produce around 750NM, if not more, and the Horsepower outputs of these cars is definitely 510+bhp~
the TT V12's are also under-rated, I wouldn't be surprised if they produced 550bhp.
At the end of the day, HP is not important, its seeing the look on the faces of murcielago owners when a Mercedes-Benz puts them to shame

are your results listed at the rear wheels or corrected for driveline loss?if so id say youre better off with the extra torque and a little less HP. but isnt the SL350 rated at like 230/40 hp? seems like 30hp under is kind of alot.
