Folding Mirrors

This is a dumb question, but how do you get the mirrors on an 06 SL500 to fold in? Are they power folding? I have looked through the manual and I can't seem to find a button for it?

it is a button just under the mirror adjustment on the centre console.........looks like the pic below

Folding mirrors were an option though - maybe you dont have it?

Wow I would have seen that button if it was there. My car does have keyless go, ventilated seats, pano roof, etc., but it would be missing folding mirrors. I can see where the mirror can swivel but I'm guessing that's so you can do it manually?

I've found this option, in general, is much more common in overseas markets (speaking from the States). This option is usually standard on many cars sold in Europe but, is quire rare on any car sold in America. Of all the SL's I've ever seen I've never seen this option on a US spec SL. I wonder if it was even available on a US SL?

06SL500AMG where are you located?

I am located in Northeast Arkansas. I thought it would be standard on such a car! I love the automatic folding mirrors on our GL350! I usually try to fold them in on our vehicles when parked in a parking spot as I am sure many people on here do.

I agree they should be standard in the U.S. I think the new SL's do have the folding mirrors. My '11 does not and I believe they weren't even an option in the U.S.

You can get them for 825 Euro from nlbenz.com. I have done some business with them before and they are good. The owner travels the world doing factory upgrades to MBs.
