SL/R230: Corner illuminating front fog lamps-Any way to turn this off?

Corner illuminating front fog lamps-Any way to turn this off?
On my 08 SL55, the left or right fog light will light up when the steering wheel is turned or the turn signal used. Is there anyway to un-program this?

You do know that is for illuminating the corner that you're turning into, right? As far as I know, you can't turn that off. We're on our 3rd MB and they've all had it. Not sure why one would not want that feature though.

I have had the car 3 weeks and already twice I have be told "Nice car, but you have a fog light out..." LOL
Maybe it can be deactivated with Star? I can see fine without them.

LOL!!! I thought that might be the case! When I've seen other MB's starting a turn, it does look rather strange to see the one light. I'll bet that there's a way to program that out with Star.
