I presume it blew or fell off while I was driving sometime recently. I definitely don't see it down in the trunk or top mechanism anywhere-

I am having trouble finding some parts diagrams that are simple enough for me to figure out the part number

thank you for any help

Funny enough...I have that part in the lighter gray (alpaca??). It came with mine...was laying in the trunk when I cleaned it out. Might be one of those pieces that is included with a full assembly but seems like one could be found. Mark

I was curious so did some research. Apparently, maybe, this is the part number: 230-690-09-41-9C83. The small rectangular (I suppose it is really five-sided) piece is part of the larger panel. Lots of comments about folks losing it. Apparently common problem and a few DIY fixes. Search for that part number and you'll see lots of discussion about it. $300 from the dealer??? Crazy.

If you have time would you mind checking to see if your piece has a part number that might match the one in the reply below?

Thank you

Erik

I should have mentioned in my earlier post that my five-sided part does not have a part number. If it is part of the larger flap/panel assembly the part number might be on that larger piece. Yours would likely have the part number, too. Now I'm starting to look at the flap/panel/cover...passenger side is dropped a little while driver side is flush against the top. I know there are threads about that...gotta go look at those. Mark

Looks like the little hinged flap is part of the larger panel. The part numbers for the panels are:

230-690-09-41-9C83 (Left)
230-690-10-41-9C83 (Right).

The part codes listed are for black, so you'll have to order the correct color for your car. You might also want to check eBay. I've seen those panels listed there before
