ABC ISSUE
ABC- Drive Safely- lights up in red. It occurred as a result of a loss of hydraulic fluid due to an improperly seated ABC filter at the reservoir. It is apparent that the ABC system shut down and closed the valves on the struts so that the suspension is at a normal height but inoperable. The raise suspension button illuminates when pressed but also seems disabled. The fluid was replaced in the reservoir and the vehicle was low on fluid for about 8 miles. Despite refilling the ABC and correcting the leak the ABC will not reset. Is there anyway to reset the ABC other than turning the ignition on an off, possibly by disconnecting the batteries?? Trying to avoid the MB dealers as they have not proven themselves in the past.

Most likely the system saw zero pressure and closed the suction valve to the pump. This valve can only be opened with the Star Diagnostics tool, while pressuring the reservoir to prime the pump. Believe me, I tried the same on mine. For $100 I had an Indy prime the pump and reset the red ABC.
