2007 SL550 questions
Just purchased a 2007 550 and wanted to know:
1) How do you get a voice control manual?
2) Is there a cabin air filter supposed to be under the hood at the cowl or just the 2 under the dash?
3) In the top compartment of the console there is a plastic cover over what looks like some kind of computer plug. Is this for the telephone or for some auxiliary connection?
4) Does anyone know how the 3 nets in the trunk hook?
5) This vehicle has been serviced and maintained at the M-B dealer. Which aftermarket oil is best?

You can download the owner's manual, COMAND manual and maintenance manuals from www.mbusa.com -> Owner's Section. I think this will answer most of your questions. As for oil, I am partial to Mobil 1 0w40. Just make sure whatever you use meets MB spec 229.5.

As for the three nets:
A. The largest one covers the floormat in the trunk ... hooks at the four corners.
B. The triangular one attaches to the right side shelf adjoining the trunk floormat.
C. The rectangular one attaches to the lip in front of the trunk floormat ... hooks at the four corners.

2 cabin filters under the glove box.
computer plug is for a phone hookup. You can get an adapter that turns it into a Bluetooth signal to connect your phone.
