Got a deal on a brand new 2004 360 spider. Although not as fast as the SL600, It was a pleasure to test drive. Actually, to be honest, I am torn to the last minute, and not sure If I'll be happy with the 360.

Dayam!

I'm a big fan of the 360 also but, for an everyday driver, I can't beat the 600. Another thought to consider; when is the body style/new model coming out for Ferrari? Think they're due for an update, 2005?

Fortunately, here in So. Florida, I can drive my 600 everyday...

Decisions, decisions...

its all about image. i would get the 360 simply because its a ferrari and all the gold diggin girls down here are attraced to nice cars. However, the sl600 is a classy fast car tat, down here in LA i dont see that many. However, i can honestly say i see at least 20 360's every day. Take a drive down to the sunset strip and you are bound to see at least 4 parked on a single block. It seems like everyone and their mother has one. I think at the end of the day you will miss driving the SL but once you hop out of the car and realise what you just steped out of, your worries will dissapear.

Were you intending to refrere to the 360 as being common in California? Or was that a typo?

Lol no not a typo...if i can find my digital camera i will take it with me this saturday and post pictures up of all the nice cars i see.
last saturday i saw a maybach, a yellow lambo murcialogo(at the coffee bean parking lot lol) with chrome rims, an orange gallardo, a black RR phantom with black huge **** rims, and at least 10 ferrari 360's. They also do a lot of testing down here on cars, my friends neighbor works for bmw and truck loads of new 6 series comes to this guys house every morning for magasine testing and what not. Also that same day i saw all those cars, i saw the ferrari 430(blown 360 to compete with the galardo with a maserati engine) testing in beverly hills. This car was the loudest thing i have ever heard, veery time i tried to catch up with the guy he blew me away and left.

How did you know it was a "430"? Did it look different?

I saw that article too. I can't see what is different about the car in that picture. It looks like a current 360 to me.

Shank,

You probably won't want to drive the 360 as your "relaxed" everyday supercar, like your SL. I drive my 360 spider on nice weekends, but it's a bit too much for every day. The noise, and rawness of it is great, but can become tiring. It's also little less rigid than the SL. Finally, at least where I live, be prepared to get noticed and quized by everybody where ever you stop (and even on the freeway). You will not be inconspicuous. On the plus side, if you are not married, (I am) it's great way to impress and meet girls.
